Why The Lavatory NorCal Is the #1 Name in Luxury Bathroom Trailers
We rent luxury trailers only. Strictly luxury. Never plastic. Each unit has flushing china toilets, real sinks with running water, mirrors, lights, air conditioning and heat, and we own every trailer we send as a direct fleet, so the person who quotes your job works for the same company that delivers it. Our family has 30+ years in event and equipment rental behind it.
Google, Tesla, Meta, Target and eBay have all used trailers from our network, and so have the Golden State Warriors and the Oakland A’s. We are licensed and insured, rated A+ by the BBB and backed by hundreds of five-star Google reviews. Call us for a free quote on the phone, or send a quote request online and we will call you back fast with dates, sizes and delivery times.

“Great service, nice people and great equipment! We had a wedding way out in the hills, off grid with a terrible road and tricky access, and it was not a problem for their driver. He found the site and showed up cheerful and polite. The restrooms worked perfectly and stayed clean the whole night.”
“We used The Lavatory NorCal for a long-term corporate rental and they exceeded every expectation. The unit stayed clean and well kept, and it felt like a real extension of our office. They were proactive with maintenance and quick to answer any question.”

Booking and Delivery Questions About Our Bathroom Trailers
Booking takes one short call. Our portable bathroom trailer rentals across Northern California start with the date, the address and a rough head count, and most customers have a confirmed unit and delivery window before they hang up.
How do I book a bathroom trailer?
Call (209) 202-3741 or send the online quote form, which takes about two minutes to fill out. Tell us the date, the address, how many people you expect, how many hours the event or job runs and whether there is power and water on site. We confirm the size, give you a quote and lock in your date.
How far ahead should I reserve for a busy weekend?
For Saturdays from May through October, when weddings and harvest parties in Napa and Sonoma tend to land on the same weekends, it is smart to book a few weeks ahead of time. Last-minute call? Try us anyway, because same-day delivery is often possible even in the busiest months of the year.
How fast can a trailer get to me?
We offer 24/7 immediate dispatch and same-day delivery. For urgent calls in the Bay Area and the Sacramento region we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours.
Do you deliver outside Northern California?
Yes. Our home base is Northern California, and our drivers deliver anywhere in the country, including multi-week projects far from the Bay Area and the Sacramento Valley.

Power, Water and Setup for a Portable Restroom Trailer
Power and placement are the two things we ask about on every call. A small unit like the 2-stall bathroom trailer for Bay Area backyards needs only one household circuit, while bigger trailers need two. None of them need a sewer line.
What kind of power does a trailer need?
The 2-stall, 3-stall and 5-stall units each need one dedicated 120 volt, 20 amp circuit within 100 feet. Bigger units need two of those circuits, including the 9-stall and the 8-stall private bathroom as well as both ADA bathroom models. The 8-stall shower needs one 50 amp, 220 volt circuit, and the 8-station laundry needs two 50 amp, 240 volt circuits. No outlet nearby? We bring a quiet generator.
Do I need a water hookup?
No. Every unit carries its own fresh water tank, from 105 gallons on the smallest trailer up to 400 gallons on the 8-stall private bathroom. On long rentals a garden hose hookup keeps the tank topped off between service visits.
What happens on delivery day?
We deliver on the date and time window we promised. Our driver backs the trailer into place, levels it on its jacks and sets the stairs and rails. After that, the driver connects power and water if you have them, then tests every flush, light and faucet before showing you how the thermostat and the exterior lights work.
How much room does a trailer take up?
The 2-stall is 17 feet long with the tongue and about 10 feet 7 inches wide with the stairs out. The 9-stall runs 26 feet 4 inches long and 12 feet 4 inches wide. The 8-stall shower is 35 feet long. Pick firm ground that is close to level and clear of low branches. Gravel, asphalt and brick patios work best, and soft lawns are fine in dry weather.

Service, Cleaning and Supplies During Your Restroom Trailer Rental
Our crews handle the dirty work so you never have to. A big unit such as the 9-stall luxury restroom trailer for large NorCal events holds 750 gallons of waste, which covers a long day with hundreds of guests, and smaller units get serviced on a schedule sized to how hard they work.
Who cleans and pumps the trailer?
We do. We send every trailer out cleaned and checked, so for a one-day event the trailer arrives clean and stocked and usually runs the whole day on its own tanks. On longer rentals we come back on a set schedule, often once or twice a week, to pump the waste tank, refill fresh water, clean every room and restock supplies.
What supplies come with it?
Each unit comes stocked with premium toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and air fragrance, and we can leave extra cases on site for long events, busy job sites or rentals that run through a holiday weekend.
What if something stops working during my event?
Call our 24/7 line. A technician will talk you through it on the phone or drive out to fix it, and most problems turn out to be a tripped breaker or a circuit shared with something else, which takes only a few minutes to sort out.

Permits, Placement and Site Questions for Mobile Restroom Trailers
Most rentals on private land need no paperwork for the trailer itself. Public streets, big public events and construction sites can be different, and we are happy to send spec sheets for any permit application.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom trailer?
On private property, usually not. A large public event may need a city or county event permit that lists a toilet count, and we can send you the specs and capacity of each unit to attach. Construction sites follow the state rule for jobsite toilets, and we help general contractors match the toilet count to the size of the crew.
Can the trailer sit in a parking lot or on a street?
Parking lots are one of the most common spots we use for offices, churches and community events. A public street is different: most Bay Area cities want a street use or encroachment permit before a trailer takes up curb space, so check with your city first.
Will the truck fit through my gate?
Send us a photo or the gate width before delivery day. Our smaller trailers fit through most residential gates and down narrow driveways, and our experienced drivers back into tight spots in older Bay Area neighborhoods every single day.

Long-Term Leases and Rental Terms for Temporary Bathroom Trailers
Plenty of our trailers stay out for months, and we plan the service around your hours. School modernization projects, office remodels, hospital wing upgrades and new home tracts all lease units with a set service plan, and our long-term temporary restroom rentals in Sacramento and the Bay Area page covers how those leases work in more detail.
How long can I keep a trailer?
As long as you need it. We rent for a single day, a weekend, a week or a month, and we lease units for many months at a time on construction, school and remodel projects throughout Northern California.
Can I add or swap units during a lease?
Yes. If your crew doubles or the project moves into a new phase, we can add a second trailer or swap to a bigger size without ending the lease or changing your service schedule.
Is a weekday or monthly rental priced differently?
Often, yes. Weekday and monthly rentals are usually quoted differently from a Saturday event. We price every job in the open, with no hidden fees, and we are glad to look over a quote you got from another company.
Are your trailers insured while they are on my site?
Yes. We are licensed and insured, and we can send a certificate of insurance to your general contractor, venue or property manager.

What Comes Inside Every Luxury Restroom Trailer
People ask what makes these different from a plastic portable toilet. Almost everything. Each room has a white china toilet with a foot flush, a stainless steel sink with running water, a framed mirror and LED lights inside and out. Every trailer has air conditioning and heat. The walls, ceilings and floors are one-piece gel-coated fiberglass that wipes clean, and the frame rides on heavy axles built for daily towing. Units stand about 11 to 12 feet tall with the AC on the roof, and the 9-stall carries 2 AC units for its 21-foot box.

Choosing the Right Size or Accessible Bathroom Trailer
Size comes down to head count, hours and how fast the crowd moves. If anyone in your group uses a wheelchair, our ADA accessible restroom trailer rentals in NorCal add a ramp and a full accessible room. Jobs that also need showers or clean clothes can pair a bathroom with our mobile shower trailer rentals for NorCal job sites or our temporary laundry trailer rentals in Northern California.
| Trailer | Guests it handles | Fresh water | Waste tank |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-stall bathroom | 150 and under | 105 gallons | 300 gallons |
| 3-stall bathroom | 225 and under | 200 gallons | 400 gallons |
| 5-stall bathroom | 150 to 450 | 200 gallons | 520 gallons |
| ADA plus 2 bathroom | Up to 200 | 210 gallons | 300 gallons |
| ADA plus 6 bathroom | Up to 300 | 200 gallons | 475 gallons |
| 8-stall private bathroom | 400 to 600 | 400 gallons | 1,000 gallons |
| 9-stall bathroom | 400 to 900 | 200 gallons | 750 gallons |
Which size do I need?
Use the guest counts in the table above for a typical 4 to 5 hour event. Long days, open bars and crowds that all take a break at the same moment, like halftime or the end of a ceremony, push you up one size. For a job site, tell us the crew size and the shift length and we will match it.
Do you have accessible units?
Yes. The ADA plus 2 and ADA plus 6 bathrooms, the ADA combo and the ADA plus 2 shower each have a self-contained ramp, grab bars and a wide accessible room built to California ADA standards. The ADA.gov site explains the federal side of accessible facilities.
Do you rent shower and laundry trailers too?
We do. We carry an 8-stall shower that is CAL FIRE approved, an ADA plus 2 shower, 2-stall and 4-stall combos that pair showers with toilets, an 8-station laundry and a 12-station bunkhouse sleeper.

Weather, Seasons and Emergency Bathroom Trailer Rentals
Northern California weather swings hard from place to place. A July afternoon in Roseville can top 100 degrees while fog keeps the Presidio in the 60s. When pipes break or the power goes out, our 24/7 emergency restroom trailers in Northern California roll the same day.
Will it stay comfortable in a heat wave or on a cold night?
Yes. Every unit has air conditioning and heat controlled by a digital thermostat, so the rooms stay comfortable through a Sacramento Valley heat wave in August and stay warm on a frosty December night in the Sierra foothills.
What about rain, fog and wind?
The trailers are built for it. They sit level on steel jacks with railed stairs at every door, and after winter storms we put plywood pads under the jacks on soft ground. Wind off the bay is no problem for a trailer this heavy.
Do you handle emergency rentals?
Yes, around the clock. Burst pipes, sewer backups, fire camps, floods and power shutoffs all get 24/7 immediate dispatch, and we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours.

Typical NorCal Portable Bathroom Trailer Rentals
Every rental is a little different. These three setups come up again and again, and they show how the answers above play out on a real site.
A Sonoma County hillside wedding
About 180 guests, a gravel pad by the barn and no outlet within 100 feet. We bring a 3-stall trailer on Friday with a generator, level it, test every fixture and haul it home on Sunday afternoon. The couple never thinks about it again.
A six-month office remodel on the Peninsula
The building’s restrooms are torn out while staff keep working upstairs. An 8-stall private bathroom sits in the parking lot on two circuits from the building, and we service it twice a week until the new restrooms open. The toilet count follows Cal/OSHA Title 8, Section 1526 for the 40 to 60 workers on site, and the private stalls keep the office staff comfortable too.
A school modernization in the Sacramento area
Two ADA plus 2 units stand by the portable classrooms for the whole school year, roughly 36 weeks. We pump and restock after the last bell at 3 p.m. so classes are never interrupted, and we add a third unit for back-to-school night.
