A+ Rated Ramp-Entry Combo Mobile Shower Stall Trailer Rental for Any Job

Accessible combo shower trailer with a platform, rails and a ramp set up beside a parking lot under trees, The Lavatory NorCal

The Lavatory NorCal rents the ADA combo, a mobile accessible shower trailer with a roll-in shower, grab bars at the toilet and a sink set low enough to reach from a wheelchair, all in one private room, for weddings, job sites, festivals, shelters, clinics and much more across Northern California. It arrives with its own platform, rails and ramp, so a guest in a wheelchair rolls straight from the pavement into the room without help from anyone. We are the top-rated luxury shower and restroom trailer company in the region and run the largest fleet of bathroom trailers in the West, with over 250 units. Call (209) 202-3741 at any hour. We can often be there within 1 to 2 hours, with 24/7 immediate dispatch.

A Roll-In Shower Trailer With Its Own Ramp, From the Largest Fleet in the West

Plenty of companies rent an accessible porta potty. Very few can bring a heated, air-conditioned room with a real roll-in shower and hot running water to a vineyard lawn or a fire shelter on short notice. We can. We are a direct fleet, not a reseller, so we own every trailer we send and we keep our deluxe accessible units cleaned, stocked and ready to roll. No broker. No surprises. Our family brings 30+ years of event and equipment rental to the job, and companies like Google, Tesla, Meta, Nvidia and Target have used trailers from our fleet, along with the Golden State Warriors. We are licensed and insured, rated A+ by the BBB and backed by hundreds of five-star reviews. No company in Northern California keeps more accessible shower trailers ready to deliver.

The ADA combo is a single private room, so one person uses it at a time with full privacy, with a caregiver if they need one. Most sites rent it beside a larger bathroom or shower trailer so that everyone at the event or on the crew has a good option, and we size that pairing for you. Call us and we will tell you which pairing fits your head count, then send a quote the same day. You can also use our online quote form and we will call you back.

Inside the Accessible Shower and Toilet Room

Open the door and the whole room is one level floor. No curb. No lip. The shower is a roll-in stall with no curb to climb, a fold-down bench, a grab bar and a handheld wand on a long hose, so someone can shower seated or have a caregiver help without getting soaked. The china toilet has grab bars on the wall beside it. The sink is mounted at a height a wheelchair user can reach, with open space below for knees, and a large vanity gives room to set down a towel, medication or a bag. Hot and cold water come through one set of controls, and the shower head is metered to 1.5 gallons a minute.

The air conditioning and heat run from a smart digital thermostat. That matters more in this room than anywhere else, because many people who need an accessible shower also have a hard time with heat or cold. On a 104 degree afternoon in Sacramento the room stays cool, and on a foggy morning in Pacifica it is warm when the water comes on. We stock soap, paper towels and toilet paper, and we clean and restock on every service visit.

How the Ramp and Platform Go Together on Site

The floor plan shows a 5 by 6 foot landing platform at the door and a 4 by 8 foot ramp off the end of it, both with rails. Our driver lowers the trailer on its jacks during setup, which brings the door closer to the ground and cuts the slope of the ramp. A shorter, less steep ramp is easier on someone pushing their own chair and safer in the rain. The platform gives room to turn, open the door and roll inside without backing down the ramp, and it sits level even when the lot does not.

Plan the spot. The footprint is bigger than the trailer alone. Leave clear, firm ground at the end of the ramp, ideally a path or pavement that connects to the rest of your event, job site or campus without a curb or a patch of loose gravel in the way. On a grass wedding lawn in Sonoma or a dirt lot at a county fairground, we can lay ground mats so a wheelchair does not sink. Tell us about the surface when you call and we will plan it before delivery day.

Have a tricky site? Call (209) 202-3741 and describe it, or send a quote request with a photo. We plan the ramp, the mats and the power before we deliver, so setup takes minutes instead of an afternoon.

Where a Mobile Accessible Shower Trailer Helps Across Northern California

Any event or site that brings in the public, or keeps people overnight, should have at least one accessible option. In wine country, estate weddings and harvest parties near Healdsburg, Calistoga and the Livermore Valley often run late, and older guests are grateful for a warm room with a seat and grab bars. Big gatherings like BottleRock Napa Valley in May, the California State Fair at Cal Expo in July and Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park in August set a high bar for access, and smaller county fairs in Santa Clara, Sonoma and Butte counties add accessible units beside their main bathroom trailers too. Construction jobs on hospitals, schools and office buildings use one when a worker needs it, or when the building’s own accessible restroom is shut down during a remodel.

Shelters are different. Shelters and outreach programs use the ADA combo more than almost anyone. Cities and nonprofits in Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento run hygiene programs where a private, accessible shower is the first thing a guest asks for. During wildfire evacuations run with Cal Fire and the counties, and during winter storm outages, shelters at fairgrounds and community centers need showers that seniors and people with disabilities can use safely. Senior living communities under renovation, clinics, campgrounds and RV parks round out the list.

Planning a wedding with a long guest list? Our wedding and event restroom trailers for Napa and Sonoma venues page shows how an accessible room fits next to a larger luxury unit. For a full overview of every ramped unit we carry, see ADA accessible trailer rentals in Northern California.

Accessibility Standards That Apply to Temporary Shower Facilities

The federal rules for accessible design come from the 2010 ADA Standards published by the U.S. Access Board, which cover toilets in section 604, grab bars in section 609, shower stalls in section 608 and shower seats in section 610. California layers its own building code on top, in Chapter 11B, and many cities and counties ask event organizers to provide accessible toilets and hand-washing sinks whenever they provide standard ones. For clusters of single-user portable toilets and bathing units, the federal standards ask that about 5 percent of the units at each cluster be accessible, and larger public events often need more than one.

Your permit office or your safety lead sets the final count for your site. Our part is to bring a unit built for it and set it up the right way, with the platform level, rails on both sides of the ramp and a clear path to the door. If you want to read about how the law treats access to public events and services, the Justice Department’s introduction to the ADA on ADA.gov is a plain-language place to start.

Typical Accessible Shower Trailer Setups We See

These three come up often on calls from Redding to Monterey Bay, along Interstate 80 and up and down Highway 101. Every site is a little different. The basics hold.

Private shower room with a sink, mirror and fresh towels inside a deluxe mobile shower trailer, The Lavatory NorCal

A hygiene program in an East Bay parking lot

A nonprofit runs shower days twice a week in a church lot. It rents an 8-stall shower trailer for most guests and the ADA combo for anyone who uses a walker or a wheelchair. Volunteers set out towels and clean clothes. We pump and refill between shower days so each session starts full.

A three-day family reunion on a Sonoma ranch

About 80 relatives camp on a family property outside Petaluma, and two grandparents use wheelchairs. The family books a 2-stall combo for showers and the ADA combo beside it on a gravel pad near the barn. The grandparents shower in private, with the seat and the handheld wand, and nobody has to carry anyone up a set of stairs.

A clinic remodel in the Sacramento suburbs

A medical office in Roseville closes its accessible restroom for eight weeks while the plumbing is redone. Patients still come in every day, so the ADA combo goes by the side entrance on two 20 amp outlets from the building, and we service it weekly until the new restroom opens.

Renting a Portable Accessible Shower Trailer, Step by Step

  1. Call us. Dial (209) 202-3741 or send the quote form with your date, address, head count and the ground surface.
  2. We size it. We confirm the ADA combo, pair it with a larger unit if you need one, and send a free quote with no hidden fees.
  3. We deliver and level it. Our driver lowers and levels the trailer, builds the platform and ramp, connects power and water, and tests the shower and toilet.
  4. We service it. On longer rentals we pump the waste tank, refill fresh water, clean and restock on a set schedule.
  5. We haul it out. We take down the ramp, pick up the trailer and leave the ground as we found it.

Power is simple. The unit needs two dedicated 120 volt, 20 amp circuits within 100 feet, which most buildings, barns and park pavilions already have. If your site has no outlets, we bring a quiet generator. The 105 gallon fresh tank covers a day of light use, and on longer rentals we connect a hose so the water never runs short. The 300 gallon waste tank gets pumped on our service visits, and we set the schedule around your busiest days.

Questions About the Accessible Shower Combo Trailer

Can a caregiver go inside with the user?

Yes. The room is one private space with a roll-in shower and a fold-down bench, so a caregiver can step in and help with the handheld wand while the user sits.

How much room do I need for the ramp?

Plan for the 25 foot trailer plus the 5 by 6 foot platform and the 4 by 8 foot ramp off its side, with clear, firm ground at the bottom. Send us a photo or a sketch of the spot and we will check it.

Will the ramp work on grass or gravel?

It will. On soft grass or loose gravel we can lay ground mats at the foot of the ramp so wheels do not sink. Pavement and firm dirt need nothing extra.

Can one person use it all day at an event?

It is a single room, so it serves one user at a time. At most events it is shared by the few guests who need it, alongside a larger trailer for everyone else.

What happens if the site loses power?

Call us. We can bring a generator so the lights, water heater and AC keep running. During planned power shutoffs in fire season, we suggest booking the generator ahead of time.

How quickly can you deliver an accessible shower trailer?

We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch, and on urgent calls we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours. Spring and fall wedding weekends book up, so call early for those.
