The Lavatory NorCal rents the 4-stall combo, a hot-water shower trailer with four private bathroom suites and its own laundry room, for job sites, fire camps, retreats, schools, emergencies and more across Northern California. Each suite has a hot shower, a flushing china toilet and a sink behind a locking door, while a stacked washer and dryer sit in a separate room at the front of the unit, so washing clothes never gets in the way of anyone’s shower. We are the #1 luxury shower and restroom trailer company in the region, with over 250 units in the largest fleet of bathroom trailers in the West. Call (209) 202-3741 any hour. Showers, Toilets and Laundry in One Mobile Trailer From the #1 Fleet
Most sites need three things once people stay longer than a day: a hot shower, a clean toilet and a way to wash clothes. This unit brings all three on one tow, which simplifies delivery, power planning and daily service for whoever manages the site. You skip a second trailer on the schedule, which also means one power run instead of two and one delivery to plan around instead of a pair of them. We own every trailer we send, so nobody farms out your job and nobody shows up with a unit you never saw. Our family has 30+ years in event and equipment rental. Google, Tesla, Target, BMW and the Golden State Warriors have all used trailers from our fleet, and we hold an A+ BBB rating, five-star reviews and full licensed and insured coverage on every rental.
One combo serves up to 200 people over an event day or a crew of about 30 on a long job. Call us with the head count, the address and the dates. We will confirm the size and send a quote the same day, or you can fill out the quote form and we will call you back.
“The Lavatory NorCal provided toilet and shower trailers for our company retreat up in the mountains above Grass Valley. The site had no bathrooms for a group our size. The units were clean, the water was hot every morning, and their tech checked everything daily. We will call again next year.”
“We got the shower trailer at our campus in Sacramento and everything has worked great. The driver was quick, set it up so it was easy and safe for the students to use, and walked our staff through it. We appreciate working with them as a vendor.”

Look at the floor plan and you will see why the layout works. The four suites sit in two pairs along the side, with a storage and plumbing access closet between each pair, so a tech can reach the lines without walking through anyone’s room. The laundry room and the mechanical room sit together at the tongue end. A 100 pound propane tank rides on the tongue. Each door has its own set of steps and handrails, positioned so people coming and going never collide on a shared landing. Four people can shower at once while a fifth runs a load of towels, and nobody waits in a shared hallway.
Inside the Private Shower Suites and the Laundry Room
Every suite is a full bathroom. The shower stall has a metered head with hot and cold controls. The toilet is white china with a foot flush. Above the sink hangs a big framed mirror, and there is a GFCI outlet close by for a hair dryer or a razor, which matters more than you would think to someone getting ready for a long day. The door locks. The air conditioning and heat run off one smart digital thermostat, which matters during a July heat wave in Redding and just as much on a damp January night in Eureka. We stock soap, paper towels and toilet paper before the trailer leaves our yard, and we restock on every service stop.
The laundry room is the part people forget to ask about. One stacked washer and dryer will not serve a whole fire camp. It will keep up with towels, socks and a set of work clothes per person on a crew of 20 to 30, which is the gap that sends tired people driving 40 minutes into town to wash clothes after a twelve-hour shift. If your group needs more than one stack can handle, our 8-station laundry trailer for Northern California sites carries eight washers and eight dryers.
Where a Portable Shower and Laundry Combo Fits in Northern California
The combo makes the most sense where people sleep near the work and stay put for days or weeks. In Northern California that covers a lot of ground. Fire season brings incident base camps to county fairgrounds, school fields and ranch land from Butte County to El Dorado County, and the people working those camps come off the line covered in ash and sweat. Utility and pipeline jobs in the Sierra foothills and the North Coast put teams in remote spots far from a motel. Harvest pulls seasonal workers into the Sacramento Valley and the Lodi and Clarksburg vineyards from August into October, and many of those farms have no shower building at all.
There are calmer uses too. Youth camps in the Santa Cruz Mountains and around Lake Almanor add showers for a summer session. Film crews on long location shoots in San Francisco and Marin need a place to wash up between setups, and wardrobe likes the washer. Glamping weekends on the Sonoma Coast want hot water that feels like a hotel. Shelters and hygiene programs in Sacramento, Oakland and San Jose use a combo to give guests a private shower and a clean change of clothes on the same visit. Schools in a remodel and data center builds in Santa Clara use it for the same reason everyone else does.
On construction jobs, Cal/OSHA spells out washing facility rules for construction sites in Title 8, section 1527, and some jobs that handle lead, asbestos or other harmful material need showers on site. Ask your safety manager what the job requires. We will match the trailer to it.
Typical Combo Shower Trailer Setups Around the Region
No two sites are the same, though the same three patterns come up again and again on our calls from Chico down to Gilroy.
A fire camp at a county fairground
An incident team sets up base camp on a fairground in the foothills with a few hundred people rotating through. The big shower units handle the line crews. The 4-stall combo goes near the command trailers for the overhead team, the cooks and the mechanics, who work odd hours and want a private room and a washer that is not a mile across the dirt. We pump the waste tank on a tight schedule, and our driver stays in touch with the camp’s facilities lead every day.
A pipeline or utility job in the Sierra foothills
Twenty-five workers are on a power line or water line job outside Placerville for six weeks, staying in trailers on a cleared pad. The closest town with a coin laundry is half an hour away on a winding road. We drop the combo on the pad and the contractor runs a 50 amp line off the site generator. After that, everyone showers and washes clothes right where they sleep. The site super told us the evening drive into town for laundry went away in the first week.
A summer session at a mountain youth camp
A camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains is rebuilding its old shower house and cannot skip the July session. The combo goes beside the cabins, staff wash towels and wet swimsuits every afternoon, and campers get a hot shower with a lock on the door. It is a simple fix for a summer session that otherwise would have been canceled entirely.
Need several units at one site? Our main page for mobile shower trailer rentals in Northern California covers every size we stage together. When the trouble is a wildfire, a flood or a broken main, the 24/7 emergency shower and restroom trailers for NorCal page shows how we roll at any hour.
How Renting a Temporary Shower Trailer Works
- Call us. Phone (209) 202-3741 or use the quote form. Give us the address, the dates, how many people and whether there is power on site.
- We size it. We confirm the 4-stall combo fits your group, or we point you to a bigger shower unit or a separate laundry trailer. The quote is free.
- We deliver and level it. Our driver backs it in, levels it on its jacks, sets the steps and rails, connects power and water, fires up the water heater and runs every shower.
- We service it. We pump the waste tank, fill fresh water when you have no hookup, restock supplies and swap propane on a set schedule.
- We haul it out. When the job ends we drain it, pick it up and leave the pad clean.
Power, Water, Propane and Site Prep for a Hot-Water Shower Trailer
Power comes first. The unit wants one dedicated 220 volt, 50 amp circuit within 100 feet, the same kind of outlet an RV park pedestal or a shop welder uses. Two 110 volt, 20 amp circuits will run the basics, though the washer, dryer and AC all want the bigger feed. No power at the site? We bring a generator sized for it. Water is next: the 105 gallon fresh tank only lasts about 70 minutes of shower time at 1.5 gallons a minute, so for a group that showers every day we connect a hose to a spigot or a water tank, or we plan fresh water deliveries.
The 750 gallon waste tank is large for a trailer this size, which stretches the time between pump visits. Pick a spot that is close to level and firm enough for a loaded pickup. Gravel pads and asphalt are best. In winter, the clay soils around Sacramento and the river bottoms near Yuba City turn soft after a storm, and plywood under the jacks keeps the unit steady. Summer brings the other problem. Inland highs past 105 are common from Red Bluff to Modesto, so read Ready.gov’s extreme heat guide before a long outdoor job, and leave the AC on all day.
Not sure your site has the right outlet? Call (209) 202-3741 and send a photo of the panel. A real person answers day and night, and we can usually sort out power in one call.

Other Mobile Shower Trailer Sizes and the Areas We Serve
For a smaller group, the 2-stall shower and bathroom combo for small NorCal sites gives two private suites on a 17 foot trailer. For a big camp, the 8-stall portable shower trailer for large Bay Area jobs puts eight showers on one unit. If a guest or worker uses a wheelchair, look at the accessible ADA combo with a roll-in shower. It comes with its own ramp and platform. Many sites pair it with this unit.
We serve all of Northern California and deliver anywhere in the country. Our trucks run daily for Sacramento restroom and shower trailer rentals, for the North Valley through our Chico portable bathroom trailer page, and for South Bay jobs listed on temporary restroom trailers in San Jose. Oakland, Santa Rosa, Roseville, Elk Grove, Fremont and the towns between are covered too. The full list is on our Northern California restroom and shower trailer service areas.

Questions About the Shower and Laundry Combo Trailer
How long does the hot water last?
The onboard water heater recovers between showers, so heat is rarely the limit. Fresh water is. On the 105 gallon tank alone you get about 70 minutes of total shower time, so for daily use we hook up to a spigot or a water tank.
Can the washer and dryer run at the same time as the showers?
Yes. On a dedicated 220 volt, 50 amp feed everything runs at once. On two 20 amp circuits we set it up for the basics, and the laundry may need to wait until the showers slow down.
Is each suite private and lockable?
Every one of the four suites has its own outside door with a lock, its own steps and rails, and its own shower, toilet and sink inside. Nobody shares a hallway or a changing area.
How many people can one combo serve on a long job?
Plan on about 30 workers for daily showers and laundry, or up to 200 guests at a one-day event. Bigger camps add an 8-stall shower trailer or a separate laundry trailer.
Do you deliver to remote foothill and ranch sites?
We do. Tell us about the road, the grade and any gates before delivery day, and send a photo if you can. Our drivers reach mountain camps, ranch yards and fire camps across the region.
How fast can a combo trailer get to my site?
We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch, and on urgent calls we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours. Fire season and harvest are busy, so call as early as you can.
