Why The Lavatory NorCal Is #1 for Bunkhouse Sleeper Trailer Rentals
The Lavatory NorCal pairs the 12-station bunkhouse sleeper with the widest selection of luxury shower, bathroom and laundry trailers in Northern California, so a whole camp comes from one company. No job is too big or too small. One sleeper can hold a team of 12 for a remote cell tower job in Lassen County, and full camps of sleepers, showers and bathrooms serve fire bases and large-scale deployments for companies like Google and Tesla. Plants, film sets, ranches and disaster work use the same fleet.
We have the track record to prove it. Thousands of deliveries, the largest fleet of luxury trailers in the West with over 250 units, an A+ BBB rating and hundreds of 5-star Google reviews. We own every trailer and do the hauling ourselves, which matters when the job is two hours up a mountain road. Call (209) 202-3741 any time. We can often be there within 1 to 2 hours.
“It’s made a real difference for our crew. Having reliable restroom access means everyone can stay focused on the job without unnecessary interruptions, which has really helped keep things running smoothly throughout the day.”
“I cannot thank The Lavatory enough for coming through for us! We had an emergency and needed restrooms quickly for my daughter’s wedding. Tyler and his crew had everything up and running so quick everyone was impressed!”

8-Stall Shower Trailer
This CAL FIRE approved shower trailer is the unit we send to wildfire base camps, evacuation shelters and multi-day festivals across the region.

4-Stall Shower Combo With Laundry
Four complete bathrooms with showers plus a separate laundry room, so long stays at retreats, camps and remote projects need only one delivery.

8-Station Laundry Trailer
Our high-volume laundry trailer, with industrial machines running side by side, keeps clothes clean for camps, shelters and projects with 100 or more people.
If you are not sure which size fits, tell us the head count, the place and the dates, and we will match the unit on one short call.
Built Into Every Bunk of the Mobile Sleeper Trailer
Twelve separate compartments, six upper and six lower, each with its own outside door. No shared hallway, so nobody walks past a sleeper. Every bunk has:
A real full-length mattress on a solid platform, so people actually sleep instead of tossing on a folding cot.
Each bunk opens directly to the outside, which means people on different shifts never wake each other up.
An LED reading light at every bunk, controlled separately from the neighbors.
A USB outlet beside the pillow for charging a phone or a tablet overnight.
A small storage compartment for personal gear, boots and a change of clothes.
Three HVAC units with a digital touch thermostat keep every compartment comfortable from August heat to winter frost.
Built-in steps lead up to each upper bunk, with rails along the outside stairs.
Our drivers haul the trailer, level it on its jacks and connect power before the first shift arrives.
Bunkhouse Sleeper Rentals for Every Job, From a Remote Tower Site to a Fire Base
Beds on site make sense anywhere the nearest hotel is too far or too full, from Redding and Red Bluff to Truckee, Lodi and the Delta. Small to huge:
Remote towers
One sleeper for a team of up to 12 on a cell tower or utility job far from a town in Humboldt or Lassen County.
Vineyard harvest
Harvest help sleeps on the property in Napa or Lodi from August to October instead of on the road.
Film sets
Rest between long shoot days at a remote location in the Sierra or on the North Coast.
Winter projects
Warm bunks near Truckee and Donner Pass when the snow closes Interstate 80.
Plant turnarounds
Night and day shifts sleeping a few steps from the gate at a refinery in Martinez or a plant in Pittsburg.
Workforce housing
Crew housing for 12, 24 or 36 people on long builds, paired with showers and laundry.

Bunk Layout, Specs and Features of the 12-Station Sleeper Trailer
This is not one big room with twelve cots. The 34-foot trailer is split into twelve separate bunk compartments, six upper and six lower, and every one has its own outside door. Lower bunks open at ground level up a short set of stairs. Upper bunks have their own taller stairs and built-in steps inside. A sleeper coming off a night shift never has to climb past someone else, and nobody gets woken up by a door slamming down the hall, because there is no hall. Quiet matters.
| Sleeping capacity | 12 bunks (6 upper, 6 lower) |
| Sleeps | 12 people |
| Length | 34′ |
| At each bunk | LED light, USB outlet, small storage |
| Access | Private door and steps at each bunk |
| Climate control | HVAC with heat and AC, 3 AC units |
| Thermostat | Smart touch digital |
| Best for | Construction, disaster response, film, remote job sites and more |
- 12 bunks total, 6 upper and 6 lower
- Built-in steps up to each upper bunk
- A light and a USB outlet at every bunk
- Small storage at every bunk for personal gear
- LED lighting with HVAC heat and cooling
- Smart touch digital thermostat

Inside each compartment there is a full-length mattress on a solid platform, a window, a reading light and a place to charge a phone. Three AC units cool the trailer through a Central Valley August, when Redding and Red Bluff often top 105 degrees, and the heat keeps it comfortable on a frosty night in the Sierra foothills. People sleep better in a cool, dark, quiet space. Nobody rests well in a hot box.

Where Mobile Sleeper Bunkhouses Work Across Northern California
Northern California has a lodging problem for anyone working away from home. Bay Area hotel rates are among the highest in the country, wine country rooms book out for harvest, and the towns closest to a fire or a mountain project may only have a motel or two. We have delivered sleepers for every kind of project, and these are the places where a bunkhouse sleeper trailer makes the most sense:
- Plant shutdowns and turnarounds: refinery and chemical plant work in Martinez, Benicia and Richmond that brings in traveling specialists for weeks.
- Construction: solar and battery storage builds in the Sacramento Valley, data center and campus projects in the South Bay, and levee repair in the Delta.
- Wildfire and disaster response: base camps, staging areas and recovery work in Shasta, Butte, Lake, Napa and Sonoma counties.
- Utility and storm work: line crews restoring power after winter storms in the Santa Cruz Mountains and along the North Coast.
- Film and events: remote shoots on the Mendocino coast, festival build teams, overnight security staff and ranch events.
- Camps and outreach: youth camps and church retreats in the Santa Cruz Mountains, crew housing for seasonal staff at resorts, and overflow beds when a county shelter fills up during a storm.
Have a project that fits one of these? Call (209) 202-3741 and we will plan the beds, showers and toilets together, or send a quick quote request with your dates and location.
Typical Bunkhouse Sleeper Setups From the Bay Area to Redding
Every job is different. Still, these three patterns come up again and again when our dispatchers plan bunkhouse deliveries around Northern California, and they show how we usually stage the sleeper next to the rest of a site.
A plant turnaround in Contra Costa County
A refinery shutdown brings in welders, inspectors and pipefitters from out of state for six weeks of round-the-clock work. We place two bunkhouse sleepers in a laydown yard inside the fence, next to an 8-stall portable shower and a temporary laundry unit. Night shift sleeps through the day while day shift works, and nobody has to badge back in through the main gate at 4 a.m. after a long drive from a hotel in another town.
A fire base camp in the North Valley
A large wildfire grows over a weekend, and a base camp goes up at a fairgrounds in Shasta or Butte County. Support staff, mechanics and dispatchers need real beds between shifts. We deliver a sleeper along with showers and bathrooms, we place it at the quiet end of the camp away from the generators, and we service the whole group of trailers until the fire is contained and the camp breaks down.
A winter project near Truckee
A utility or resort project above Donner Summit runs through January. Interstate 80 goes to chain controls, or closes outright, several times a month, and a team staying in Sacramento can lose whole days. With a bunkhouse on site, twelve people are already at work when the road shuts down. You can check road status on Caltrans QuickMap before you plan a delivery window.
Pair the Sleeper Trailer With Deluxe Showers, Bathrooms and Laundry
The bunkhouse is for sleeping only, so most sites add temporary showers and portable toilets right next to it. Twelve people coming off a shift want a shower first. Every time. Our mobile shower trailer rentals across Northern California cover that, and the 8-stall shower trailer for long job sites handles a full bunkhouse with room to spare. On a smaller site, the 4-stall combo with showers, toilets and a laundry room does all three jobs in one unit.
For stays longer than a week, clean clothes become a real issue. Laundry helps. Our 8-station laundry trailer for Sacramento and Bay Area sites has stacked commercial washers and dryers. For deluxe toilets, the 8-stall private bathroom trailer near your bunks gives every person a room with its own door. We deliver the whole group together, we set the units in a row, and we service them on one schedule.
How Renting a Mobile Sleeper Bunkhouse Works
- Call us. Ring (209) 202-3741 or send the quote form with the address, the dates and how many beds you need.
- We size it. One sleeper holds 12. We work out how many units you need, plus any showers, toilets or laundry, and send a free quote.
- We deliver and level it. Our driver backs the trailer in, levels it, sets the stairs at every bunk door, hooks up power and checks each light, outlet and AC unit.
- We service it. On long rentals we come back on a set schedule to check the unit, and we service any shower or bathroom trailers that go with it.
- We haul it out. When the job wraps up we fold the stairs, hitch up and leave the site clean.

Site Prep and Power for a 34-Foot Bunkhouse Trailer
Plan on a level, firm spot about 34 feet long, with room on both sides for the stairs that fold out at every bunk door. Gravel, asphalt and packed dirt all work well for leveling. Mud is different. Soft ground after a rainy week in the foothills may need plywood under the jacks. Put the sleeper away from generators, loading docks and the main road if you can, because people will be sleeping there at all hours. We need truck access to back it in, so tell us about low wires, tight gates or steep grades before the delivery day.
Power is next. The trailer runs its lights, outlets and three AC units on shore power. Many sites have a panel close by. If yours does not, we bring a generator and set it at a distance. During fire season, check CAL FIRE’s incident map so the drop spot stays clear of active fire zones and evacuation routes. Our dispatch team will walk you through the power side on the first call.

Not sure about your spot? Text a photo and call (209) 202-3741. A real person answers around the clock, and we can usually confirm whether the location will work during that first conversation.
One call sets the unit, the delivery window and the service plan, and a real person answers the phone 24 hours a day.

Questions About Renting a Bunkhouse Sleeper Trailer
Does the sleeper trailer have a bathroom or shower inside?
No. It is built for sleeping, with 12 private bunks. We pair it with shower, bathroom or combo trailers and set them up side by side so nobody walks far at night.
Can people on different shifts share one trailer?
Yes. Every bunk has its own outside door and its own light, so someone getting ready for an early shift does not disturb the person sleeping in the compartment next door.
Do you provide bedding?
Each bunk comes with a mattress. Most guests bring their own sleeping bag or sheets and a pillow, and our dispatch team can talk through the details of your setup when you call.

How long can I keep a bunkhouse on site?
As long as the job runs. We rent sleepers for a single weekend, for a month or for an entire construction season, and every long rental gets a regular service schedule.
How fast can a sleeper reach my site?
We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch, and for emergencies we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours. Calling ahead is still wise in late summer and early fall, when wildfire season keeps a large share of our fleet committed to emergency deployments.
