Why The Lavatory NorCal Leads in Mobile Shower Trailers
The Lavatory NorCal carries the widest selection of luxury shower trailers in Northern California, from a single accessible room to an 8-stall unit, so there is a fit for every need. No job is too big or too small. We bring a 2-stall combo to a family home during a remodel, and we send the CAL FIRE approved 8-stall to fire camps, shelters and large-scale deployments for companies like Google and Tesla. Festivals, job sites, glamping weekends, outreach programs and emergency shelters all draw from the same fleet, which is why one phone call can cover a single family or a whole incident.
We have the track record to prove it. Thousands of deliveries, the largest fleet of luxury bathroom and shower trailers in the West with over 250 units, an A+ BBB rating and hundreds of 5-star Google reviews. We own every unit and do the driving, so the team you call at midnight is the team that levels the trailer, hooks up the water and checks the hot water in every stall. Call (209) 202-3741 at any hour. We can often be there within 1 to 2 hours.
“For a camping trip with friends, I rented a shower trailer, and it was all I had imagined. The Lavatory’s portable shower and toilet combo felt like a little luxury cabin in the wide outdoors, and it was spotless and roomy. The entire process was hassle-free because of their prompt service and timely delivery.”
“The Lavatory provided toilet and shower trailers for our company retreat in the mountains. They were perfect. The location did not have bathrooms that our group needed however the Lavatory trailers were perfect. The units were clean and provided hot showers for the team. Rob cleaned all the trailers every morning and made sure everything was working properly. He provided great service. We will reach out again next year.”

8-Stall Shower Trailer
This CAL FIRE approved shower trailer is the unit we send to wildfire base camps, evacuation shelters and multi-day festivals across the region.

ADA Plus 2 Shower Trailer
Hot showers for everyone on site, including an accessible roll-in room with a fold-down seat, a handheld wand and grab bars.

2-Stall Shower and Bathroom Combo
Each private door opens to a complete bathroom with a shower, which makes this combination unit ideal for home remodels, glamping and small camps.

4-Stall Shower Combo With Laundry
Four complete bathrooms with showers plus a separate laundry room, so long stays at retreats, camps and remote projects need only one delivery.

ADA Shower and Bathroom Combo
One generous accessible room holds a roll-in shower, a grab-bar toilet and a sink, which suits a family home, a clinic or an emergency shelter.

If you are not sure which size fits, tell us the head count, the place and the dates, and we will match the unit on one short call.
Standard Features in Every Private Shower Trailer
Lock the door and the room is yours. Each stall has a light, a hook and bench space to keep clothes dry, its own hot and cold controls and a floor that drains fast, and on combination units each room also has a china toilet and a sink with a mirror.
Every shower is its own separate room with a door that locks from the inside, so nobody waits in a shared hall.
Each stall has its own hot and cold controls feeding a metered 1.5 GPM shower head that stretches the water supply.
Cool on a 105 degree Redding afternoon and warm for a 6 a.m. shower in the Sierra.
Bright rooms at night and lit stairs outside.
One-piece fiberglass walls that our team scrubs clean between every rental.
The 8-stall has four outdoor sinks under a cover, and every combination room has its own sink and mirror inside.
Before delivery we plan a garden hose hookup or scheduled tank service, depending on what your site has available.
Our driver levels the trailer, connects water and power, and tests the hot water in every stall before anyone uses it.

Hot Showers for Every Job, From a Home Remodel to a Fire Camp
The same fleet covers a quiet weekend at a family home and a three-week wildfire incident, and the right unit depends mostly on how many people need to shower each day. Small to huge:
Home remodels
A 2-stall combination unit gives a family in Oakland or Sacramento a private shower and a toilet right in the driveway while contractors rebuild the house bathroom.
Glamping retreats
Combination units turn an open field on the Sonoma Coast or a Mendocino redwood campground into a comfortable small resort with hot water.
Wedding weekends
Guests staying two or three nights on a ranch or a Napa vineyard can shower on site every morning instead of driving to a hotel.
Film sets
Cast and production get hot showers after 14-hour shoot days at remote locations in Marin County and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Plant turnarounds
Workers clean up before the drive home at refinery jobs in Martinez and Benicia for weeks at a time.
Music festivals
Artists, staff and vendors who camp for three or four days at Golden Gate Park or the Napa Valley Expo.
Fire camps
The CAL FIRE approved 8-stall rolls within hours to base camps in Butte, Plumas and Shasta counties.
Outreach and campuses
Weekly hygiene programs in San Francisco and San Jose, and campus deployments at Google scale.
Tell us the job, the place and the head count, and our dispatch team will quote the right unit today with no hidden fees.

Timing is everything. Most people want one at the same moment: when a fire crew rolls back into camp, when a festival closes for the night, or when a work shift ends at 6 p.m. Count how many people will need a shower in your busiest two hours, not across the whole day, and size for that peak. A typical shower, with time to dry off and change, runs about ten minutes, so each stall turns over five or six people an hour when the line is steady.
For an overnight event or a weekend camp, one 8-stall usually covers up to 200 people. A remodel, a small film crew or a family reunion fits a 2-stall combo. Shelters and senior programs should always add an accessible unit. Fire camps and long deployments often run two or three 8-stall trailers side by side with our temporary laundry trailers for long stays parked next to them. We work all of this out with you on the phone. Quick and free.

Where Mobile Showers Get Used Across Northern California
Fire season drives a large share of our calls. From the Dixie and Camp fire country of Butte and Plumas counties to the hills above Napa and Santa Rosa, big incidents set up base camps where hundreds of firefighters sleep in tents and work 24-hour shifts. A crew coming off the line covered in ash needs a hot shower before anything else. Food can wait. An 8-stall can be on the road within hours of the call, and we keep it running for as long as the camp stays open, whether that is three days or three weeks. Evacuation centers at county fairgrounds need the same thing for displaced families, and that is where the accessible units matter most.
Festivals and big events are the second big use. Multi-day music festivals in Golden Gate Park, at the Napa Valley Expo and along the river in Sacramento bring in artists, stage crews and vendors who camp on site for days. Summer camps in the redwoods of Mendocino County and the pines of the Sierra foothills rent showers when a bathhouse fails or a new cabin area opens. Glamping hosts on the Sonoma Coast and the Mendocino coast use our combo units to turn a field into a resort.
Work sites make up the rest of the calendar, and they run all year. Data center and solar builds in the Central Valley, refinery turnarounds in Martinez and Benicia, levee repairs in the Delta and long highway jobs all bring crews who need to clean up before the drive home. Cities and nonprofits in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose run hygiene programs that put showers where people without housing can reach them. We set up Oakland shower and bathroom trailer rentals for those programs, along with San Jose portable restroom and shower rentals and mobile shower and bathroom trailers in Sacramento. North Bay calls go through our Santa Rosa trailer rentals for showers and restrooms, and the North Valley through shower and restroom trailers in Chico.
Crews working in summer heat face their own rules. Cal/OSHA’s heat illness prevention program covers water, shade and rest for outdoor workers, and an air-conditioned trailer with cold water on tap gives a crew a cool place to recover after the shift.
Typical Shower Trailer Setups Around NorCal
No two jobs match. These composites show the setups we plan most often across Northern California, so you can picture how your own site might come together before you call.
A wildfire base camp in the northern Sierra
An incident team opens a camp at a county fairground for 600 firefighters. We roll two 8-stall mobile shower trailers and an ADA plus 2, tie them into a water tender and the camp’s generators, and service them around the clock. The camp’s logistics coordinator told us the showers were the first thing crews asked about when they came off the line. It showed.
A weekly hygiene program in the East Bay
A nonprofit sets up in a church parking lot two days a week for people living outside. We place an ADA combo next to a 2-stall combo so everyone, including guests in wheelchairs, can shower in private. Dignity first. Volunteers hand out towels and fresh clothes at the door. The program director said people now show up early just to be first in line for hot water.
A family home remodel in the Oakland hills
A couple guts the only full bathroom in their house for eight weeks. A 2-stall combo goes in the driveway, plugs into two garage circuits and fills from a hose bib. Each room has its own toilet, sink and shower, so the kids get ready for school without driving to the gym. Big relief. The general contractor liked that his crew could use the second room.

Disasters move fast, so our emergency shower and restroom trailers for Northern California roll 24/7. If you need restrooms beside the showers, our portable bathroom trailer rentals in every size share the same delivery and service schedule. For accessible units across both lines, see our accessible shower and bathroom trailer rentals.
How Renting a Portable Shower Trailer Works

- We deliver and level it. Our driver sets the trailer, levels it, runs the water and power lines, and tests the hot water in every stall.

Water, Power and Drainage for Temporary Shower Trailers
Water is the biggest planning question with any portable shower, far more than with a restroom. The fresh tanks run from 105 to 210 gallons, and even with heads metered at 1.5 gallons a minute, a full tank only covers a couple of hours of total shower time. For anything past a short event, we connect to a hose bib, a fire hydrant with a meter or a water truck, so the showers never stop. Gray and black water go to the onboard waste tank, which we pump on our service visits. On long jobs the 8-stall can tie into an approved on-site septic system instead.
Power needs change from one unit to the next. The 8-stall needs one 50 amp, 220 volt circuit within 100 feet. The ADA plus 2, the 2-stall combo and the ADA combo each take two 120 volt, 20 amp circuits, and the 4-stall combo takes either setup. Most fire camps and festival sites run on generators, and we bring one when the site has no power. Pick a spot that is close to level and firm. Level matters. Gravel, asphalt and packed dirt all work, and after winter rain we lay plywood under the jacks so they do not sink. If the site floods in a storm, as Delta and river bottom sites often do, tell us so we can set the trailer on the high side.

Fire season? The Ready.gov wildfire guide is a good checklist for camps and events in the foothills, and we are happy to stage units early when a red flag warning is in the forecast.
One call sets the unit, the delivery window and the service plan, and a real person answers the phone 24 hours a day.

Questions About Mobile Shower Trailer Rentals
How many people can one mobile shower trailer handle in a day?
Peak hours decide. Each stall turns over about five or six showers an hour, so an 8-stall can handle 40 or more people an hour at a steady pace. We suggest it for groups of up to 200.
Do portable shower trailers need a water hookup?
For a short event, the onboard tank is enough on its own. For anything longer we connect to a hose bib, a metered hydrant or a water truck, since showers use far more water than restrooms do.
Is your 8-stall shower approved for fire camps?
Yes. Our 8-stall mobile shower trailer is CAL FIRE approved, and we can dispatch it 24/7 when an incident team calls.
Which shower unit works for someone who uses a wheelchair?
Two units do. The ADA plus 2 shower adds an accessible roll-in shower beside two private rooms, and the ADA combo puts an accessible shower, toilet and sink in one room with a ramp.
Can I rent a temporary shower trailer while my bathroom is remodeled?
Yes. The 2-stall combo fits most driveways and gives you two rooms, each with a toilet, sink and shower. We rent it by the week or by the month.
How fast can you get showers to an emergency?
We offer 24/7 immediate dispatch and same-day delivery. For urgent calls we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours, depending on where the site is.
