Eight Washers and Eight Dryers on One Portable Laundry Trailer
When people live on site for days or weeks, clean clothes stop being a small thing. Dirty work clothes pile up, towels sour in the heat, and someone ends up driving an hour round trip to wash a bag of socks. This trailer ends that. Problem solved. Eight loads wash while eight more dry, all in a heated and cooled room with lights, a sink and a table to fold on. We are a direct fleet, not a reseller, so the company you call is the company that owns, delivers and services the unit. Our family has 30+ years in rental work, and Chevron, UPS, Microsoft, Google and Tesla have all used trailers from our fleet. We are licensed and insured, rated A+ by the BBB and backed by hundreds of five-star reviews.
Call us with the number of people, how long they will stay and what power the site has, and we will tell you whether one unit is enough before we send a written quote the same day. You can also request a quote online and we will call you back.

“The team is top notch. They gave us clean, reliable laundry and shower trailers for our camp outside Redding, and I appreciate the care they took with the layout and the power runs. They even laid safety ramps over the water and power lines. They always answer my calls and they are courteous and professional.”
“Our driver got us set up with restrooms, showers and laundry insanely fast at our site in the Sacramento Valley. He is great at what he does and a solid person through and through.”

The floor plan splits the sixteen machines into two separate groups. Five stacks line the back wall of the main room, across from the folding table and the utility sink, and three more stacks sit in a second section beside the mechanical room. That split keeps the main room open, so several people can load, unload and fold at once without trading elbows. Two propane tanks ride on the tongue, and the whole unit is 26 feet 4 inches long, about the size of a large box truck.
Inside the Commercial Laundry Room
Walk up the stairs and it looks like a clean, bright laundry room in a new apartment building, only it sits on a trailer. The machines are industrial Whirlpool stacks with the full set of cycles, from a quick wash for a shirt to a heavy cycle for jeans and work pants covered in Delta mud. The deep utility sink handles boots, rags and anything that needs a soak first. Very handy. The two AC units keep the room comfortable with every dryer running on a 100 degree day in Yuba City, and the heat keeps it warm on a frosty February morning in Truckee. Bright LED lighting means employees finishing a late evening shift can do their laundry comfortably at eleven o’clock at night without searching for a flashlight.

How Many People One Temporary Laundry Trailer Handles
Count loads, not people. Simple math. Someone working long shifts in the field, at a fire camp or on a pipeline job usually washes one or two loads a week, with more on dusty or muddy work. Towels and bedding from a camp kitchen or a bunkhouse add their own loads. With eight washers and eight dryers running together, one trailer can turn out a lot of clean laundry in a single evening, which is why camps size it by the busiest two hours after a shift ends rather than by the total head count.
Tell us how many people are on site, how many shifts there are and whether towels and bedding get washed in the same trailer. We will tell you if one unit covers it or if a second laundry trailer, or a combo unit with its own washer, makes sense. Big fire camps with a thousand or more people usually bring in several units and set up a laundry drop-off system with their own staff.
Not sure how many you need? Call (209) 202-3741 and we will size it with you in a few minutes, or send a quote request with your head count and dates. We plan, deliver and service every unit ourselves.

Where an On-Site Laundry Trailer Fits in Northern California
Wildfire is the biggest single reason Northern California customers call us about laundry trailers. The Camp Fire in Butte County in 2018, the Carr Fire near Redding the same summer and the Dixie Fire across Plumas, Lassen and Butte counties in 2021 all put thousands of firefighters, utility workers and evacuees in camps and shelters for weeks. Incident base camps for Cal Fire and the US Forest Service set up on fairgrounds, airports and school fields, and clean clothes are a basic need in every one of them. The Ready.gov wildfire guide is a good read for any group planning a camp in fire country.
Long-term work camps of every kind are the other big reason people rent this equipment. Farm labor housing in the Sacramento Valley and the Salinas Valley fills up from spring through the fall harvest. Geothermal crews at The Geysers in Lake and Sonoma counties work long rotations far from town. Storm restoration teams clearing downed lines after an atmospheric river, film crews shooting for weeks on location in Marin and Mendocino, and military training at bases like Beale Air Force Base all need a place to wash work clothes. Shelters and outreach programs in Sacramento, Oakland and San Francisco use a laundry trailer so guests can wash what they own, often for the first time in weeks.

Typical Mobile Laundry Trailer Setups Around the Region
Every site has its own wrinkle, but these three patterns cover most of the calls we get from Yreka down to Hollister.
A wildfire base camp on a county fairground
A large fire in the northern Sierra sends hundreds of firefighters to a fairground camp. The laundry trailer goes next to the shower units and the sleeping area, on a generator with two 50 amp outputs. Camp staff run it in shifts, and our driver pumps the waste tank and checks the machines on a set schedule. The camp’s logistics lead told us the line for clean clothes was shorter than the line for coffee.
Seasonal farm housing in the Sacramento Valley
A grower near Colusa houses 60 seasonal workers through the rice and tomato harvest. The bunk buildings have showers but no machines, and the closest coin laundry in town is a long drive after a ten-hour day. The trailer sits on the gravel lot between the housing and the equipment shed, hooked to the ranch’s power and water. Workers wash on their own schedule. No hauling. The grower books the same trailer every year.
Wardrobe support for a long film shoot
A production shooting for six weeks on a ranch in West Marin needs to wash costumes, towels and crew clothes every night. The trailer parks beside the wardrobe trucks, and the costume department gets eight dedicated machines of its own instead of hauling bags of clothes to a laundry in Petaluma. Nothing leaves the set. Ever.

Power, Water, Propane and Drainage for a Self-Contained Laundry Unit
Power comes first. It is the main thing to plan, because a laundry room full of dryers and two air conditioners pulls far more electricity than a restroom or shower unit ever will. The trailer needs two dedicated 240 volt, 50 amp circuits within 100 feet, which is more than a home outlet can give. Many fairgrounds, farm shops and industrial yards already have that kind of service. Most farms do. If yours does not, we bring a portable generator sized to carry the entire electrical load. Water comes in through a hose from a spigot or a water tank, or from a fire hydrant when your site holds the permit for it, and we plan that hookup with you before delivery day. Gray water from the washers drains to the 750 gallon waste tank, which we pump on our service visits.
The spot itself should be close to level and firm enough for a loaded truck, with room for the stairs and a clear path to the door. Gravel and asphalt work best. Mud does not. In the rainy months, the adobe clay around Woodland and Davis gets slick, so plywood under the jacks helps. When a camp sets up at an evacuation shelter, the Ready.gov shelter guide lays out what people should expect, and our job is to make laundry one less worry.

Not sure your power will work? Call (209) 202-3741 and send a photo of your panel. A real person answers day and night, and we will tell you what the site needs.
How Renting a Commercial Laundry Trailer Works
- Call us. Phone (209) 202-3741 or send the quote form with the site address, the dates, the head count and the power you have.
- We size it. We confirm one 8-station unit is enough, or we add a second trailer or a shower combo. The quote is free.
- We deliver and level it. We level the trailer, set the stairs, connect power, water and propane, and run a test cycle on every machine.
- We service it. We pump the waste tank, swap propane, clean the lint traps and check the machines on a set schedule.
- We haul it out. When the job ends we disconnect, drain and tow it away, and the pad is left clean.

Pair the Laundry Trailer With Showers, Bunks and More
This unit is the flagship of our temporary laundry trailer rentals in Northern California, and it rarely works alone. Camps add the 8-stall mobile shower trailer for large NorCal camps for hot showers, and smaller groups pick the 4-stall shower and laundry combo trailer, which carries its own washer and dryer. When people sleep on site, our mobile sleeper bunkhouse rentals with 12 private bunks complete the setup.

We deliver across all of Northern California and to job sites anywhere in the country. Trucks head north daily for Chico and Butte County restroom trailer rentals, into wine country for Santa Rosa portable bathroom trailers, and down to the bay for temporary restroom trailers in Vallejo. Sacramento, San Jose, Oakland and the towns between are covered too. Our NorCal laundry and restroom trailer service areas page lists them all.
Questions About Renting the 8-Station Laundry Trailer
Is there room inside to sort and fold?
Yes. The main room has a 20 by 55 inch folding table across from the machines and a 20 by 24 inch utility sink for soaking or spot cleaning.
Is there a fresh water tank on the laundry trailer?
The washers run from a water connection on site, like a spigot, a permitted hydrant or a water tank. Tell us what you have and we will plan the hookup before delivery.
What if the site has no 50 amp power?
We bring a generator sized to run all eight washers, all eight dryers and both AC units at once, and we fuel it on our service visits.
Who supplies the detergent?
Most sites supply their own detergent, so people can use what they like. Let us know if you need help and we can talk through options on the call.

Can we keep it for a whole season?
Yes. Many farm and work camps keep the trailer from spring through harvest. We set a weekly service schedule and handle repairs if a machine acts up.
How fast can a laundry trailer arrive in an emergency?
We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch, and on urgent calls we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours. During a large fire or storm, call as soon as the camp is planned.
