Standard on Every ADA Restroom Trailer We Rent
Every accessible unit in the fleet shares the same base:
A ramp with rails and a level landing, set at the door on delivery day.
Enough turning space for a wheelchair inside the room, behind a wide door at the top of the ramp.
Sturdy grab bars beside the toilet, plus a fold-down seat and grab bars in the roll-in showers.
Real toilets with a flush, at an accessible height.
Hot and cold water at a sink that a seated guest can reach.
Air conditioning and heat keep the rooms comfortable in July heat and in winter cold.
Bright rooms and well lit entries make evening events safer for every guest.
We pick a flat, solid spot on your site and level the unit before anyone uses it.

Inside the Accessible Room of a Luxury ADA Trailer
The ramp is the first thing people notice. It folds out from the trailer itself, with railings on both sides and a flat landing at the door, and it is not a loose piece of plywood that shows up on a second truck. Our accessible trailers are built on lowering frames, so once we set them down on site the floor sits closer to the ground and the ramp can stay shorter and gentler. That matters on a crowded lawn where every foot of space counts.
Inside, the accessible room is wide enough to turn a wheelchair around. Grab bars sit beside and behind the china toilet. The sink is mounted low with open space under it, and the mirror, soap and paper towels are all in easy reach from a seated position. In the shower models, the roll-in shower has no curb to bump over, a fold-down seat, a grab bar and a handheld wand on a slide bar. Everything is lit, heated and cooled like the rest of the trailer, with interior and exterior LED lights for evening events.

Where Accessible Restroom Trailers Work in Northern California
Any time the public is invited, accessible bathrooms are part of the plan. The 2010 ADA Standards say that when portable toilets are grouped together, at least 5 percent of them, and never fewer than one, need to be accessible, and you can read section 213.2 in the U.S. Access Board’s ADA Standards. A single ADA plus 2 often covers that rule and the whole crowd at the same time. Here is where our accessible units go most across the region:
- Weddings and private events: vineyard ceremonies in Napa and Sonoma, backyard parties in the Oakland hills, memorials and family reunions anywhere grandparents are on the guest list.
- Fairs, festivals and sports: county fairgrounds from Pleasanton to Chico, music festivals, street fairs, races and youth tournaments.
- Schools and campuses: graduations, field days and bond-funded modernization projects that take campus restrooms offline for a semester.
- Hospitals, clinics and senior living: patient and visitor bathrooms during a remodel, plus staff showers during a long renovation.
- Job sites and offices: tenant improvements in Silicon Valley, public works projects and any site where employees or visitors use mobility aids.
- Emergencies: wildfire evacuation centers, flood shelters after winter storms, water main breaks and planned power shutoffs.
Typical ADA Portable Restroom Setups Around NorCal
These are patterns we see again and again across the Bay Area, wine country and the Sacramento Valley. The details change from site to site. The plan usually looks like this.
A county fair weekend in the Valley
A fair board expects several thousand visitors a day near the livestock barns and the grandstand. We set an ADA plus 6 by the main walkway, a paved path straight to the ramp, and add standard multi-stall units nearby for the rush after the evening show. Our service truck pumps and restocks before the gates open each morning, so the first visitor of the day walks into a clean room.
A memorial service in the East Bay hills
A family in Orinda or Lafayette hosts 90 guests at the house, and several of them use walkers. The home has steps at every door. We back an ADA plus 2 onto the flattest part of the driveway, run the ramp toward the patio and lay mats over the gravel. Nobody has to ask for help to use the bathroom, which is exactly how the family wanted it.
An evacuation shelter after a fire in the North Valley
A shelter opens in a church gym or a fairgrounds hall in Butte or Shasta County, and the building has only a few showers. Within hours we stage an ADA plus 2 shower beside an ADA plus 2 bathroom so older residents and people with disabilities can bathe safely, then keep both units serviced for as long as the shelter stays open.
Planning a reception with a long guest list? Our luxury wedding restroom trailers for Napa, Sonoma and the Bay Area page shows how we stage several units at one venue. When a storm, a fire or a broken water main hits, the emergency bathroom trailers we dispatch across NorCal 24/7 include accessible units.
How Renting an Accessible Mobile Restroom Works
- Call us. Ring (209) 202-3741 or send the quote form with the date, the address, your head count and how many guests may need the accessible room.
- We size it. We match the unit to the crowd and the space, and we check the path from parking to the ramp. The quote is free.
- We deliver and level it. Our driver sets the trailer, lowers the frame, levels it, unfolds the ramp and railings, connects power and water, and tests every room.
- We service it. On rentals longer than a day we pump the waste tank, refill fresh water and restock supplies on a set schedule.
- We haul it out. We fold the ramp, pick up the unit and leave the spot clean.
Site Prep, Power and Ramp Space for a Portable ADA Unit
Plan for more room than a standard unit. With the ramp in use, the ADA plus 2 and the ADA plus 2 shower need about 25 feet of length and 13 and a half feet of width, and the ADA plus 6 needs about 31 feet. Leave clear space at the bottom of the ramp for a wheelchair to turn. The ground should be close to level and firm, and the route from the parking area to the ramp matters just as much as the trailer. Grass, wood chips and loose gravel are hard to roll across, so we bring mats or plywood when the path is soft, which happens a lot on wine country lawns after an October rain.
Power is simple. Each accessible unit needs two dedicated 120 volt, 20 amp circuits within 100 feet. If the site has no outlets, we bring a quiet generator. A garden hose keeps the fresh tank filled on longer rentals. Public agencies, schools and hospitals in California often work under Title 24, Chapter 11B, the state’s own access code, and the Division of the State Architect is the place to check the rules for a school or state project. Our team can send a spec sheet for your inspector or facility manager on request.
Not sure your spot will work? Send a photo and call (209) 202-3741. A real person answers 24/7, and we can usually tell you in one call.
One call sets the unit, the delivery window and the service plan, and a real person answers the phone 24 hours a day.

Questions About Renting ADA Accessible Trailers
How many accessible units does my event need?
Under the 2010 ADA Standards, at least 5 percent of the portable toilets in a group must be accessible, and never fewer than one. For most weddings and parties, one ADA plus 2 covers it. For fairs and festivals, we place an accessible unit at each restroom cluster.
How steep is the ramp?
Gentle. The trailer frame lowers on site, which keeps the ramp short and easy to roll up, and it has railings on both sides with a flat landing at the door.
Can someone help a guest inside the accessible room?
Yes. The room is large enough for a wheelchair plus a helper, and it is unisex, so a family member of any gender can assist.
Do you rent accessible showers for shelters and long projects?
We do. The ADA plus 2 shower and the ADA combo both have roll-in showers with seats and handheld wands, and we service them on a set schedule for as long as you need them.
What if the only open spot is on grass?
Grass works when it is dry and close to level. We lay mats or plywood from the path to the ramp so wheels do not sink, and we will tell you if a different spot is safer.
How fast can an accessible unit arrive?
We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch, and for urgent calls we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours. Booking early is still smart for May and June graduations and fall harvest weekends.
